Topics In Open Innovation Speaker Series Presents: Howard Atkins, (IP) CFO of Wells Fargo Bank and Pramod John, VP of Strategy and Innovation at McKesson

Mr. Howard I. Atkins has been the Chief Financial Officer of Wachovia Preferred Funding Corp. since February 2, 2009. Mr. Atkins served as the Chief Financial Officer of Wells Fargo & Company, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo Foothill, Inc. from August 2001 to February 8, 2011 and its Senior Executive Vice President from August 2005 to February 8, 2011. He served as the Head of investor relations, controller's division, treasury, corporate development, investment portfolio, corporate properties and venture capital at Wells Fargo & Company until February 8, 2011.  
 
Mr. Atkins was responsible for Wells Fargo's financial management functions (including controllers, financial reporting, tax management, asset-liability management, treasury, corporate development, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions), its investment portfolios (including fixed income, venture capital and private equity investments) and its corporate properties functions. 

Mr. Atkins has nearly 30 years of Financial Experience, including more than 12 years as Chief Financial Officer for Financial and Insurance Institutions. Mr. Atkins earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from City College of New York and a Masters Degree in Economics from Ohio State University.

Pramod John is Vice President of Strategy and Innovation for McKesson Pharmaceutical. He is responsible for examining opportunities for expansion and optimization in the healthcare space and seeking opportunities for performance improvement in delivery systems, infrastructure and supply chain. More recently, Pramod has become deeply involved in the exploration of strategic opportunities rooted in the current focus on healthcare reform. In addition, Pramod is actively involved in the mergers and acquisitions space.

Prior to joining McKesson, Pramod was the founder and CEO of PacketMotion, Inc., which is a venture-funded startup in the enterprise network information and policy management space. Pramod also founded netExaminer in 1999, which was acquired by SonicWALL in 2000.  At SonicWALL, Pramod was the Director of Software Engineering. In addition, Pramod has served as an Enterprise Consultant, advising companies such as Cisco, Barclays, Healthnet and Veritas. Before that, he served as Software Systems Architect at Lockheed-Martin. Pramod's career includes over a decade of experience in business development, product strategy and development and IT service delivery. Pramod has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
